We are a family of 4 (plus 2 pups) who are traveling the country and finding our adventure. Our goal is to share our experiences (both good and bad) and lessons that we’ve learned along the way. From the places we’ve visited, to campground reviews and RV upgrades, and traveling with young children, we hope that our experience helps to give others the courage to get out there and explore this beautiful country.
We love to be outside, whether on a family hike in the mountains, or a bike ride at the beach. We’d wake up on a Saturday morning after a long week of work and say “what are we going to do today…. let’s go find an adventure”.
We were looking for a way to combine our love of nature, homeschooling, and traveling. For years we watched our favorite YouTube channel families traveling to all these exciting places and having so much togetherness and freedom as a family. We never pictured ourselves doing anything like that, however it was fun to follow along with their journeys.
Until one night we had the conversation, well why not? Why not us? Why not now? That’s when things started to get a little scary, they started to become real! How is this all going to work, what do we buy, how do we want to travel? Where do we want to go?
Fast-forward a year… we sold our Jeep and bought a truck and sold our boat and bought our 39-ft travel trailer. We started traveling to places all over the country, finding our adventure. It’s now been almost two years and sometimes I still can’t believe we’re doing it. We took a leap of faith, got completely out of our comfort zones, and went for it!
