Rio Grande Winery: A Toast To The Good Times

  • by

Located in Las Cruces, New Mexico, Rio Grande Winery offers a delightful retreat for wine aficionados and casual visitors alike. As RV travelers, we chose this location as a place to stop for the evening as a part of our Harvest Host membership. We visited during early fall, when the weather was warm during the day but crisp in the evenings and morning, perfect for dry camping.

How You Can Participate at Rio Grande Winery for Harvest Host:

Indulge in locally crafted wines and brews or enjoy a bite from the food truck. We highly recommend the green chili burger- a must try! You can enjoy your meal outside while you listen to live entertainment and take in breathtaking views of the Organ mountains.

Pros:

  • There was ample parking even on a busy Saturday and plenty of room for big rigs.
  • There was a great outside play area set aside for the kids. We grabbed a table nearby and let them play while we sampled the local libations and waited for dinner to arrive.

Tips for Harvest Host Visitors:

  • A great stop along I-10 traveling to or from Arizona and Texas. Or even if you are in the area to explore local attractions.
  • The winery is busiest on Fridays and Saturdays, if you are looking for the best views of the mountains from your rig, you may want to consider arriving early.

Rio Grande Winery: A must-visit Harvest Host destination that promises an unforgettable experience. Whether you’re exploring local gems or journeying far from home, this winery is a perfect addition to your travel plans.
