  • by

Bryce Canyon National Park has the best bike trail of all the Utah national parks. If you are planning a visit to this amazing national park, read on to discover more about the Shared-Use Path as an option for enjoying the park!

Bryce Canyon National Park makes biking the park so easy with a paved, Shared-Use Path for cyclists and pedestrians. Didn’t bring your own bike? No problem! The park offers rentals, including road bikes and e-bikes, along with all the necessary gear like helmets and bike locks. For more information, check out the park’s website.

Bryce Canyon’s Shared-Use Path

The Shared-Use Path takes you through the first 3 miles into Bryce Canyon, starting from the Visitor Center and leading to three of the most popular overlooks: Sunrise Point, Sunset Point, and Inspiration Point, as well as the Lodge. Conveniently, all the stops had bike racks available.

For an even easier entrance to the park, you can park your vehicle at the shuttle station outside of the park and ride in. This option will add about 2-miles (one-way) to your trip but is well worth it!

The path winds through a beautiful pine forest and passes along a dedicated park entrance (no fighting crowds and parking for that epic national park entrance sign pic). It then continues into the park and to the Visitor Center.

After reaching the end of the Shared-Use Path and visiting the stunning amphitheater, we opted to turn around and head back to the truck for a picnic. We then drove back into the park to finish the remaining 15 or so miles of the main park road.

You can continue your bike ride past the Shared-Use Path and along the main park road; but be aware that you will be sharing the road with vehicles.

This was an awesome way to visit the park. The kids had a blast riding on the back of the bikes, and we were able to enjoy the park without fighting the crowds!
