Around the Campfire
Solo Stove Smokeless Firepit
What’s the worst part about a campfire?? THE SMOKE! We have enjoyed using our Solo Stove Ranger around the campsite for years. They make three sizes (the Ranger, Bonfire, and Yukon) and now they even have a tabletop size called the Mesa.
Propane Firepit with Locking Lid
On our travels, we have found that some campgrounds do not allow wood fires. This fire pit is perfect for those locations, or if you want a nice warm fire without the work of feeding it wood all night. We chose this one specifically because of the locking lid. It keeps the lava rocks inside during transit.
KingCamp Folding Swinging Chair
It never fails that we get asked about our swinging chair at just about every campground. It has an adjustable back to get just the right angle as well as a cup holder for your favorite beverage. We prefer this over some of the other rocking style chairs on the market because it folds up into a bag just like the rest of our normal camping chairs.
Camco Large Aluminum Side Table
A great addition to our campsite setup. We’ve played games on this small side table, cooked on it, used it for extra dining space, and of course used it as a side table. It is lightweight, stores flat, and can be setup or taken down in seconds. It is a great multi-tasker and for those that camp and RV, this ability for one thing to do many things is a must!
Let’s Get Cooking
Pit Boss Table Top Pellet Grill and Smoker
We love this grill. We have slow cooked ribs and brisket on it, reverse seared steaks and burgers, steamed veggies, and even spatchcocked a turkey for Thanksgiving. The really nice part on the slow cooks is that it doesn’t need to be fed charcoal the whole time or burn propane all day since it plugs in and runs off your electric power.
PORTAL Lightweight Aluminum Camping Table
We have had folding tables and other portable tables and we like this one the best. It is smaller in footprint, but most importantly you can adjust all four legs to get it level. You can leave it low and it works like a coffee table, raise it up and you can eat at it, or you can use it like we do at our campsite most of the time – to hold the our grill.
ThermoPro Wireless Meat Thermometer
If you’re cooking low and slow, it is a must to be able to monitor your temperatures, but even better if you can do it wirelessly. This thermometer gives you two probes (two racks of ribs are better than one after all) and even can sync to your phone. This is a great gift or stocking stuffer that can be used out camping, but also in the backyard!
Kitchen Gadgets
BLACK+DECKER 12 Cup Thermal Programmable Coffee Maker
Coffee is a must in our family! The stainless-steel carafe is perfect for an RV- no worries about it breaking and spilling glass all over the place. You can also take the carafe outside, set it on the picnic table, and enjoy a cup around the campfire. The thermal carafe is cool to the touch on the outside while the coffee stays nice and warm on the inside!
YETI Rambler 14 oz Mug Stainless Steel
After having to wrap up and secure our ceramic mugs every time we traveled in the RV, we started looking for a non-breakable coffee mug. We found these Yeti mugs and never looked back. Great for any variety of hot or cold beverages, soups, heck maybe some oatmeal. If you add in the lid, this mug will keep a hot beverage hot for HOURS!
SodaStream Terra Sparkling Water Maker
Instead of lugging around cases of soda or sparkling water, make your own! The Soda Stream sparkling water maker takes up little room on your counter (ours is less than 6 inches wide). The canisters can be exchanged at numerous retailers, so you don’t have to keep buying new CO2 canisters at full price. There are sooo many different flavor options to add to your water- classic and diet sodas, sparkling water, and even energy flavor options.
Countertop Ice Maker
We had no idea how much the cost of buying bags of ice could really add up while camping. We tried the old school ice cube trays but RV freezers aren’t exactly known for their effectiveness. This is hands down our favorite kitchen gadget and we use it all day, everyday!

RV Gift Guide – Subscriptions
Amazon Audible – Amazon Kindle
Books take up A LOT of room and add extra weight. When you are camping, both of those things come at a premium. We’ve found that subscriptions like Audible and Kindle Unlimited are great resources to take your favorite books on the road with you. You can download eBooks, podcasts and audiobooks to save space. Great around the campsite, on the trail, or even traveling in the car!
