Hansen’s Dairy is located in Hudson, Iowa. Along with farm tours and dairy products sold at their retail store, the farm is also a Harvest Host location. We stayed overnight as guests on our travels from Iowa to Missouri. Come visit this beautiful Iowa Heritage Farm that has been owned by the same family for seven generations!
RV Spots with a View
There are four RV spots available in the parking area at Hansen’s Dairy. Two overlook the peaceful pond and the other two have lovely views of the pasture and dairy cows. The pond has a sandy beach, chairs, and dock for visitors to enjoy. A great spot to relax, have a picnic, or enjoy a sweet treat from the farm’s store. The kids had a blast swimming and cooling down on the hot summer day!
How You Can Participate at Hansen’s Dairy:
Engaging Farm Tours: You can tour the farm! There are multiple tours available, including petting a kangaroo, feeding a calf, making butter, and milking a cow. It’s a fantastic way to experience farm life up close. Be sure to make reservations in advance- you can find more information on the Hansen Dairy website.
Delicious Farm Products: Don’t miss their retail store, which offers a variety of products: milk, butter, cheese curds, ice cream, and so much more! We enjoyed one of their pepperoni pizzas for dinner and wonderful oatmeal chocolate chip ice cream sandwiches for dessert.
Hansen’s Dairy: A Peaceful Rural Retreat
After a week staying in a city park, there was something special about waking up to a gorgeous sunrise over the cornfields while listening to the cows mooing in the distance. It was very refreshing!
